SDS Scholarship Program

The 2017/18 Scholarship Application is now OPEN.

In 2016/17 We awarded multiple scholarships for many students at the studio. The program allows both full & partial scholarships for students to further their education and also for new students to begin to explore dance who may not otherwise have the opportunity. In addition to the scholarship class we will be offering an additional free class taught by one our of top students. The scholarship application process is now open again and applications are due by July 15th, 2017. Final Deadline is August 1st. No requests will be accepted after that date. 

Salida Dance Studio New Student Scholarship

(2017/18 Min. of 2 will be awarded)

Salida Dance Studio Scholarships are available for NEW students who are passionate about dancing and would like to experience the Salida Dance Studio for the first time. These scholarships are for students who are driven by passion to dance. Students may apply by writing an essay on what drives them to dance and how dance will be a positive influence in their lives.

Scholarships will cover one class per month (ballet highly recommended) from September – May. Recipients may choose to take additional classes.

Salida Dance Company Scholarship

(2017/18 Min. of 2 will be awarded)

Salida Dance Company Scholarships are available for students who demonstrate a particular passion for dance. Students may apply by writing an essay on what drives them to dance and list three accomplishments they are proud of from the previous year. Eligible students must be enrolled in at least one class at the Salida Dance Studio.

Scholarships will cover an additional second or third+ class per month from September – May.


2017 Scholarship Program Application

The Salida Dance Studio has begun the scholarship application process for the 2017/18 Program and applications are due July 15th and no later that August 1st. Scholarship applications will be available during the show and interested applicants may include their ticket with their submission for additional credit.

Essay’s must be in written format but may include additional supporting documents such as video, artwork or letters of reference. Creativity is encouraged. Friends or family members may assist with process for younger students or submit on behalf of a deserving friend. Financial need is a consideration but not a requirement. If you need help let us know, we will consider any child who loves to dance.
